about

"Unimplemented Trap" was a warning message that popped up onscreen at some point during the production of the album on a beige Mac G3. This is the first full-length album by Title One which was recorded and mixed within the digital realm. All past releases were recorded on a 4-track cassette recorder. During the process of recording and mixing, Title One returned to the 4-track and produced a 20 song e.p. out of frustration over their sudden, and necessary, roles as computer tech support. Processor speed, audio interfaces, and hard drive storage space (circa 1999-2000) left much to be desired.

Unimplemented Trap is a album of slower songs - with a greater focus on the development melodies and counter-melodies during the recording process - than previous albums by Title One. It was never released as a CD while the band was still playing shows, but remained to be the unreleased album that was always "almost ready to be released." The release also features guest musicians - which is another variation from previous methodologies for the band.

The accompanying bonus booklet features the layout for artwork for the CD packaging. Liner notes give a listing of musicians for each track.

The bonus track is a song that was recorded and re-recorded on 4-track and never properly released, but was revisited during Title One's first foray into digital recording.
